Forone-Atelier Linked to Excen Dress Internet Ordering Scam

Time: 2019-07-18 16:37cheongsam dress Click:

Today, I seek to warn other users on the internet about an apparent scam orchestrated by a Hong Kong-based company called Forone-Atelier.com.

These guys ordered a digital service from an advertorial company to promote their "Excen" dress, which is part of our "Ethere Grace" series.

Then right after they paid for an their advertorial in order to expedite their order, they then promptly launched a PayPal claim the very same day.

They alleged that they never received their order, and then when they did get the advertorial link ordered at they time they we told to expect it, they simply refused to pay for it.

The email paper trail of Forone-Atelier.com's deception has been caught in the attached screnshots.  One of these screenshots captures the article they ordered that they have refused to pay for.

This is how the apparent scammers introduced themselves on 14 June 2019

We, Forone-Atelier are a wedding dress brand in search of an opportunity to post advertorials to help gain exposure for our products and brand. Our target region is within North America and between June and July. We would like to learn of your pricing and plans for advertising. If possible, it would be appreciated if you could share some previous cases related to our industry as a reference for us. Thank you.

The advertorial company was then contacted by Jeremy:

Hello Peter,

We've received the invoice.
The payment should be made within the next hour or two.
What is the expected time for the article to be finished and published?

Best Regards,

Dear Peter,

I'll include the word document in the attachment of this email, and I've also reuploaded the images onto google cloud. Hopefully it would work better.
We do not wish to lose the quality of our images, so it's necessary to upload some of it rather than include it in a word doc where images are compressed.

Best,

In the following emailed messaged, Jeremy affirmed that they would give the advertorial company one week to prepare the advertorial.  However, their PayPal claim was launched the very same day of their payment.

Hello Peter,

The keypoints in the document we sent you is just a guideline as to what we would like to be included in the advertorial.

Our main goal is to have a quality article that features our products. If there are some editing necessary, that's entirely understandable.

So long as we get it done within a week and can get a check on the article prior to it being featured on the website.

If there's nothing else that needs to be cleared up, please let us know what's the next step as well as how to do so.
